Pre-and Post-Mortem tax planning (CPA session)

Brian Whitlock, a partner at Plante Moran, will be presenting tax planning ideas for older and terminally ill clients both pre- and post-mortem.
Brian T. Whitlock is a Tax Partner with Plante & Moran, PLLC working out of the Chicago office. Brian’s practice concentrates on Tax Planning and compliance issues related to income and estate tax planning for high net worth individuals and their closely held businesses, as well as Exempt Organizations.
Brian brings over thirty-five years of experience as a practicing attorney to the accounting environment. His straight-forward plain English speaking style makes complex topics understandable for both practitioners and clients.
Brian holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and both a J.D., with honors, and an L.L.M. in Taxation, with high honors, from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is a Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Illinois CPA Society, an active member of the AICPA Tax Division; and a member of the American Bar Association; the Illinois State Bar Association; and the Chicago Bar Association. Brian is an award winning member of the faculty at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he teaches a twelve week course entitled "Taxation of Closely Held Business Entities and Their Stakeholders" as part of UIUC's Masters of Science in Taxation Program in downtown Chicago.
